As the Localization Program Manager, Rivotek Kenya Ltd. was responsible for delivering localizations of Windows XP, Office and Spellers according to contractual agreements with Localization service providers.
Duties included performing contractual, schedule and risk management responsibilities.
Other responsibilities included delivering the identified Localization projects and coordination with all Stakeholders (internal and external). Set and maintained expectations to local stakeholders. Was responsible for Communicating within the localization project teams, Microsoft and customers
identified as localization pilot candidates.
Stakeholders include: Product Groups, Marketing Groups, Government Departments, Universities, Partners, Language Boards and Customers.
The Microsoft localization team successfully rolled out three implementation cycles namely a Community Glossary, Office 2003 Language Interface Pack and a Windows 2003 Language Interface Pack that garnered positive PR generation in over 153 unique newspaper articles globally.
